This was a studio initiated project. We've always wanted to produce a short film, and December 2018 felt like the right time. We wanted to go for a story that's open to interpretation depending on who's watching. The idea is to focus on evoking a feeling instead of crafting a literal story.

Even if the characters are literally just shapes, we wanted to give them life through motion and music. The music is also an important factor in this concept because the music is their language. Instead of voice over and dialogue, we used music as their form of communication. We have designed 4 tribes in the story, each with a distinct shape, movement, and melody.

At the start of the story, our main character one of the Triangle clan, leaves his own clan to search for his own identity. He stumbles across different clans, only to be rejected. Every time he is rejected, a part of that clan's aesthetic becomes a part of his own. At the end part of the story he becomes so different that he has lost his sense of self and identity.

We end the story in a happy note. Two characters one from the Triangle clan and another from the Oval clan picks up the pieces and tries to "assemble" back the main character.

As they try to bring back the main character, new pattern forms on their body. This symbolizes acceptance and that they're not so different from the main character.
